Description

The global unique serial number (ID) of an iButton is written into the chip by laser during manufacture. But now we have another way to assign new ID to the RW1990 programmable iButton by using this serial port ID writer and tm1990b software.

The serial port ibutton writer and RW1990 writable ibuttons are available from our website as well as the programming software. The difficulty is the 8-bit CRC code of item 4 and it is very difficult to understand the calculation of CRC code for common users. Luckily we have tools or formula to generate the CRC given a 48-bit string and the family code. It is really simple and the ID assigning process can be done in seconds.
